Givefront – Simplifying AML compliance
Nonprofits rarely get access to the same financial tools as venture‑backed startups. Givefront is changing that. The San Francisco startup provides a spend‑management platform that lets charities and associations issue corporate cards, build budgets, capture receipts, and automate compliance without heavy admin overhead.
Givefront makes money from card interchange and subscription fees for bill pay, keeping the core product free for cash‑strapped organisations.
The company just raised a $2M seed round led by Script Capital with participation from Y Combinator, C3 Ventures, and Phoenix Fund. Hundreds of nonprofits are already on the platform, and the team expects to serve about 5 000 organisations by mid‑2026.
Co‑founders Matt Tengtrakool and Aidan Sunbury are both 21‑year‑old MIT alumni who built Givefront after running their own student charity. Their goal is to arm nonprofits with modern financial infrastructure so they can focus on impact rather than paperwork.
How long until every mission‑driven organisation has the same tools as tech startups?
