Liablix – Physics-driven AI for insurance claims

Your next car crash claim could be decided by physics, not paperwork.

Anyone who has been through a car accident knows the script.

Photos, forms, phone calls. weeks of waiting while someone somewhere assesses what really happened.

For insurers, it is slow, expensive, and full of fraud risk.

For drivers, it feels arbitrary and unfair.

Liablix is an Italian startup that aims to streamline this entire process in the lab.

Founded by Davide Castellucci, Filippo Begani, and Davide Moricoli, Liablix takes crash photos and sensor data and turns them into 3D reconstructions of the accident.

The system rebuilds the collision frame by frame, calculates speeds and forces, and then asks a simple question.

Is the visible damage actually compatible with the story in the claim?

It does the same with injuries. If someone claims to have whiplash from a minor bump at low speed, Liablix can verify whether that is plausible given the physics of the impact. The goal is not to deny everything. It is to give insurers and courts an objective layer under all the human testimony.

The company announced a 1.2M euro pre-seed round.

The plan for that capital is straightforward: hire more physicists and AI engineers. Expand from Italy into other European markets: plug Liablix into the workflows of more motor insurers and claim handlers.

If it works, a big part of motor claims starts to look very different.

Less guesswork: fewer endless disputes. faster green lights for honest drivers. and less "loss creep" from small errors that compound over time.

In a sector plagued by fraud, delays, and paperwork, physics-driven AI is a pretty radical idea.

Would you trust a car insurance decision made by an AI that can replay your crash in 3D, or do you still prefer a human with a stack of photos on their desk?
