Remitee – Payments platform for diaspora communities

Remittances are embedded in every platform.

Remitee builds API‑based infrastructure that lets banks, retailers, and fintechs embed international transfers, mobile top‑ups, bill payments, and prepaid cards directly into their apps.

The platform generates revenue from transaction fees and offers a hybrid treasury system that settles payments instantly in both fiat and stablecoins while using AI to route transactions for compliance.

More than 40 institutions already use its technology, including Santander, Galicia Bank, BancoEstado, Banco de Crédito BCP, Yape, Falabella, Copec, Getnet, Remitly, and MoneyGram.

The company raised $20 million from Krealo and other investors to scale across Latin America and expand into the U.S. and Europe. It plans to increase its enterprise customer base tenfold by 2027 and reported that transaction volumes quadrupled in 2024 while achieving profitability.

Founders Sergio Saravia, Nicolas Ignacio Zamudio, and Eduardo Hamel say remittances should be a feature, not a separate app. As diaspora communities demand faster, cheaper transfers, embedded remittances could become the new norm.

When will sending money home be as easy as paying a bill?
