Squire – Innovative payments platform

Image representing Squire

SQUIRE (not to be confused with Square) built an all-in-one platform that handles booking, scheduling, payments, marketing, and inventory for barbershops.

The company got its start after founders Songe LaRon and Dave A. Salvant ran a barbershop themselves and felt the pain of outdated systems.

Squire has raised over 167 million dollars from investors such as Tiger Global, ICONIQ, CRV, Trinity Ventures, and 645 Ventures.

Today, it serves more than 12000 shops and processed 741 million dollars in payments last year. The business makes money from subscriptions and card interchange and hit its first billion dollars in payments over eight years, and the second billion in just eighteen months.

Vertical SaaS can turn a humble barbershop into a modern business.
